Cashmere or Triple Pearl - What is your favourite?
We can not thank the University of Washington and the USDA-ARS hop breeding program enough for their 2013 releases of Triple Pearl and Cashmere.
Triple Pearl is triploid daughter of Perle. We are getting similar but more pronounced traits of Perle with this new variety. It can be described as quickly fruity with spicy undertones and a strong herbal base throughout.
If you haven't got a whiff of Cashmere yet, you are missing something special. It is without a doubt robust. The fruit body of this is being compared with pineapple, melon, coconut, and grapefruit. The citrus factor shouldn't surprise you too much as it is a direct daughter to Cascade. But don't be fooled it's quite the different wild child to say the least.
